Meet The Founder
Kriti Rawat, the founder of Green Drapes, is an Indian Air Force veteran, an entrepreneur, and a woman who believes in the power of heritage and self-expression. Growing up, Kriti watched her mother drape sarees — not just as clothing, but as a source of confidence, dignity and strength at a time when women were not as empowered as they are today. For her, a saree became the first symbol of power, identity and independence.
Even with a strict upbringing and a father who insisted she follow the traditional path of a 9-to-5 career, Kriti chose courage. Her journey through the Indian Air Force, and her life alongside her husband who is also serving in the Indian Army, built the foundation of resilience, purpose and discipline that shaped Green Drapes.
The “green” in Green Drapes is not merely a colour — it represents Kriti’s deep military roots, her connection to the forces, and her respect for the values of service, loyalty and duty.
Through Green Drapes, Kriti aims to showcase:
-
Sustainability through preloved sarees
-
Inclusivity — sarees for every shape, size and age
-
Artisan empowerment and handmade craftsmanship
-
Fashion that honours Indian heritage
Kriti strongly believes that a saree belongs to every woman — whether bold, soft, curvy, petite, traditional, modern, young or mature. Every woman deserves to feel confident and celebrated in her skin.
For Kriti, Green Drapes is not just a fashion brand — it is a salute to our roots, our mothers, our stories and the women who wear their pride gracefully. Every drape is a reminder that legacy lives through us.
💚 Green Drapes by Kriti Rawat — Wear confidence. Wear heritage. Wear who you are.
